Happy Mother's Day 1965 (part 2)

The Fischer Quints were born September 14, 1963. They were the fourth set of quintuplets in the world to survive and the first American quints to survive infancy. There was much media interest after their birth. Here, the mother is treated to a shopping trip for some much-appreciated new clothes. A wide assortment of gifts was given to the family in a show of goodwill (or publicity). Of some concern is how much of a normal life these children can lead. A committee of local men discusses quint merchandise and how to best show respect for the family.
